Even a classic, turn-of-the-century piano can be fitted with a modern player system.  We are proud to offer the finest digital player piano retrofit systems available. The player piano systems we represent all offer excellent performance, engineering, reliability and value.

We feature and install PianoForce, Live Performance LX, VirtualRoll MIDI e-Valve,  QRS PianoMation digital player systems in most all pianos.  While they are each superbly engineered and will provide years of dependable service, these systems offer different features for different tastes and applications.  If you think that a CD=based player system is the latest in technology, we have a lot of new things for you to see. We at Piano Artisans believe that every system has it’s highs and itss lows. For upright Player systems we feel that either the QRS PianoMation or the PianoDisc is the best bet due the cost of the installation and the size of the solenoids. We are typically able to complete an upright player piano install in 4 days.

For a grand less than 6′ 5″ we would again recommend the QRS PianoMation or the PianoDisc again because of the cost to value ratio and the fact that both systems sound so similar.  Especially when installing in a baby grand, it only makes sense to go with the more adaptable PianoForce or Piano Mation systems.

For a 6′ 5″ or larger piano, we usually recommend a much larger and more powerful system like the Live Performance LX. The Live Performance LX is meant to be installed in the larger grand pianos, as it has much larger solenoids, can be remote mounted and can play high definition piano music.  The Live Performance LX system is the best of the player systems available today.
