Terms of Intake
- Acceptance: By checking the box below, you (“Customer”) agree to these terms and Piano Artisans Inc.’s (“Company”) terms and conditions provided on the invoice.
- Pickup and Delivery: Company will arrange pickup and delivery of the piano to/from the Company’s facility at 633 W. Katella Ave., Suites L, N, O & P, Orange, CA 92867. Per the invoice terms, Company is not responsible for piano moving damage. Customer must provide any specific service instructions at the time of pickup.
- Ownership: Customer confirms they are the owner or lawful possessor of the piano and that providing it to Company does not violate any law or agreement.
- Hazardous Materials: Company may refuse or dispose of pianos containing hazardous materials at Customer’s expense. If shipped by a third party, Customer is the consignee, and Company is not liable for transportation charges.
- Services and Payment: Services (e.g., restoration, repair, tuning) and charges are detailed in the Work Order and invoice. Customer must pay all charges in full before piano release. Non-payment may result in a lien on the piano, enforceable by sale or disposal per applicable law.
- Limited Warranty: Company is not liable for loss, damage, or destruction to the piano unless caused by Company’s gross negligence or willful misconduct during services (excluding pickup and delivery). Customer must notify Company in writing of any alleged damage within three (3) business days of piano release and allow inspection. Failure to comply waives claims.
- Limitation of Liability: COMPANY’S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO $2,500 PER PIANO. Company is not liable for:
(a) Un-adhering of glue joints, veneer, felts, or key tops;
(b) Degradation, cracking, peeling, or fading of finishes;
(c) Cracks in lids, soundboards, or cases unless caused by Company’s gross negligence during services;
(d) Warpage or cracking of key tops or action components;
(e) Oxidation of metal hardware or strings;
(f) Electronic failures (e.g., player piano systems, humidification);
(g) Condition/playability of vintage player piano systems;
(h) Any damage during pickup or delivery, per invoice terms. - Release of Piano: Upon full payment, Customer may request piano release in writing. Company will arrange delivery, and Customer is responsible for delivery costs.
- Insurance: Customer may, at their expense, insure the piano, naming Company as an Additional Insured at no cost to Company.
- Governing Law: This form is governed by California law. Disputes shall be resolved per the dispute resolution terms in the Company’s invoice.
